"Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures" (1 Corinthians 15:3). To be a godly woman you must know what this gospel is, believe it, and make it the center of your life. Never lose the wonder of the gospel. John 3:16 is not only a beautiful summary of what God has done, it ought to be the true center of our living, defining, motivating, and satisfying us. The gospel is a woman's first and most important discipline, for it is the source of godliness.

Commitment, Consistency, and Courage are three very important elements to success in life. Let us examine their definition:

Commitment is the tenacious mental determination to see a defined goal through to its achievement.

Consistency is the mental attitude that provokes ability to continue on a course already embarked upon.

Courage is the mental state of an individual that admits of no fear of opposition or obstacles to goals.

There is a major similarity and connection between commitment, consistency, and courage. The golden thread that runs through all three is the fact that they ALL address the human mind. They are not the actions we take, but the mental capsules that provoke positive human actions. The goal of the our church today is the need to have a renewed and strengthened mind -minds that are fortified with such capsules as commitment, consistency, and courage.

Life Application

It is not enough to have a readiness to move towards our goals and visions for the year, we also need to be ready to have a mental state that would under gird and sustain.

Biblical Perspective

See Esther 4:16.

We see in the above scripture that Esther demonstrated spectacular courage. She went in the jeopardy of her life to secure the deliverance of others. The singular courage of Queen Esther delivered the entire Jewish nation from complete annihilation. When last did anyone of you put himself or herself in jeopardy for another? In 2 Samuel 9:1, we see King David's commitment to the covenant he had made with his friend, Jonathan -this is even when Jonathan was no more alive. And in Luke 18:1-5 it is difficult to ignore the consistency of the widow "who kept coming continually" to the wearied judge to be avenged of her adversaries.
